ABERDEEN – During Nov. 4’s Aberdeen School Board meeting, child nutrition director Latosha Hubbard presented a report, which included details of a health counsel in the works.

“We want to cultivate a positive school culture, and the way we can do that is to create a strong health counsel. We want to attract and retain active health counsel members, which consist of community leaders, teachers, students, administration, nutrition staff and school nurses. We have those people in place and want to attract and retain more that will be more active so we can create a strong health counsel. That way, we can promote more community involvement and get ideas to promote wellness,” she said.
