FULTON - Diamond and Sharee King started the Samaritan's Market nonprofit thrift store in 2020 to fill the void left when the Fulton Salvation Army pulled out of that same location during the COVID-19 pandemic. But there is an added benefit of the Samaritan's Market being a local 501c non-profit: the funds raised in Itawamba County stay in Itawamba County, whereas the Salvation Army sends some funds raised in its local stores to help fund the larger organization.

“The good thing about Samaritan’s Market is when we take a dollar in, it stays here,” Diamond King said.
