Tremont Attendance Center's girls cross country team finished fith last Thursday in the MHSAA 1A girls cross country state championship in Clinton.
The 2024 high school cross country season came to a conclusion last week with the Mississippi High School Activities Association State Championship meet at Choctaw Trails on the campus of Mississippi College in Clinton. Tremont Attendance Center's girls team and Itawamba Agricultural High School's girls teams each finished fifth in their respective classifications to lead the county's teams.
The class 1A and 3A championships were held last Thursday, Oct. 31. In 1A, Tremont's Paige Gillespie led the Lady Eagles with a time of 24:22.70 and a 17th place finish. Lilie Lentz finished 18th. 32nd - Sarah Simms; 44th - Kinsley White; 46th - Olivia Gillespie; 51st - Emma Harris.Â
