In sports, Cinderella teams are extremely rare as the top-ranked teams are usually ones who dominate their way to solid playoff runs. But when a diamond-in-the-rough team does come out of nowhere and upsets a few higher ranked teams, that makes for great, eye-catching stories.

What the Aberdeen Bulldogs have been able to accomplish recently is the perfect example of a rare Cinderella story. From coming off of a one-win season and missing the playoffs last year to struggling early this season, things to cheer about have been scarce for the Bulldogs early.
