Folk’s gathered for steaming cups of cider and hot chocolate last week and waited on the final count down to officially light the Community Christmas Tree sponsored by the Town and Country Garden Club. The North Pontotoc Accapella Choir sang the songs of the season while Pontotoc Mayor Bob Peeples welcomed the crowd and officially threw the switch that lit the tree. Afterward children enjoyed their first visit with Santa.
