FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore linebacker Jaiyden Thompson (Okolona) has been named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Indians’ 36-34 win at East Mississippi last Thursday, the conference announced Tuesday.

During ICC’s win over the Lions, Thompson made a significant impact on the defensive side of the ball, recording a career-high 18 tackles with 11 solo and seven assisted. He also had a sack, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup to help the Indians secure the road win at East Mississippi.
