PONTOTOC - When the late Alvin Bramlitt’s wife, Synthia, insisted he see a doctor in 2004 because of a bruise on his chest, he was shocked that the mammogram revealed the advanced stages of breast cancer.
In an interview with him in 2010, he said he didn’t even know men could be diagnosed with breast cancer. An accident at work bruised his chest, and he thought it caused the discoloration and pain in his left side.
