TUPELO — Local nonprofit Wear It Well is preparing for its annual Pretty in Pink fundraiser gala, and this year’s event will be the biggest one yet.

The gala, scheduled for Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Cadence Bank Conference Center, will honor breast cancer survivors, promote awareness of the illness and raise funds for Wear It Well. Money raised goes into a fund to support local cancer patients in need. Those who can’t attend were invited to buy tickets for breast cancer survivors, so that they could attend the gala for free.
