TUPELO — While families prepare their feasts for Thanksgiving Day later this week, students at Lawndale Elementary School got a jump on their holiday celebration a couple of weeks ahead of time.
Lawndale hosted its “Thanksgiving Day Parade” in front of the school earlier this month, the second in what Madi West — one of the school’s gifted education or “challenge” program teachers — said may become a holiday tradition for the Tupelo-based school.
